Plant Propagation details the major aspects and fundamental principles of the propagation of higher plants, using sexual and asexual propagation techniques. Reference to specific plants may be used as examples, however this course will not deal with specific propagation methods for individual species. General techniques and requirements for seed production, cuttings, division, grafting, budding and layering are discussed. A brief introduction to tissue culture and micropropagation is discussed.
Nursery and greenhouse personnel interested in effectively propagating healthy crops while generating a positive financial return.
